Katsuya Ishizaki

My dad, Katsuya Ishizaki, had been a junior high school teacher for 38 years, and was retired on March,1997. Physical Education was his teaching field, but his real (hidden) interest has been in technologies for many years. In 1980, he purchased his first computer (Hitachi Basic Master Level III) for 298,000yen (=6,500USD!). He was called an innovator of educational computing in his school district. Since then, he has owned 7-8 different computers, and now he is using a Pentium 133 MHz computer.

Katsuya also has lots of hobbies:

• Fishing - Trunk of his car is full of fishing tools all the time.
• Shogi(Japanese chess) - He likes to match with himself. He is too strong to find an opponent. ;-)
• Reading - A typical book-worm.
• Watching sports - Baseball, sumo, soccer, volleyball, and whatever. He likes to "complain" about his favorite teams.
• Drinking - Every night seems like a party to him. He will go to heaven with lots of alcohol drinks.

My mom, Hiroko Ishizaki, was born and reared in Aizu in Japan. Her father passed away in a Southern Asian Island during the World War II. She got involved in infant education after graduating from a medical junior college. She has been with Katsuya for about 30 years. During that time, they got a new house and two kids. Now Hiroko works for, so-called, School-Lunch Center, and cooks foods not only for her husband, but also for a lot of school kids.

What she likes to do are gardening, reading books, and going out with her friends. She is always busy working on something. Take care of yourself, and live long!!!

My sister, Naoko Saito, just got married with a great guy, Kazushi Saito, on June of 1997. They held a wonderful wedding ceremony, and then flew to Egypt for their honeymoon! But they got a serious trouble at Narita airport on their way back, which is a secret matter.........

Naoko was born in 1975, and grew up with me in Hobara. She used to play volleyball at school, and was one of the best players in town. She continued her study until she obtained her A.A. degree from Fukushima Junior College. Currently she works for Takagi Construction Co. Ltd., and enjoys her new life with her wonderful husband.
